Why We Built the Aarti Sangrah App

Many religious and devotional apps try to do too much on the screen, often filling the experience with distracting ads. For Aarti Sangrah, we wanted the complete opposite.

The spiritual reading experience should be peaceful. Searching for your favorite Hanuman Chalisa or Ganesh Aarti should be instant. Saved prayers should be easy to reach. The app should not require an account, and it must not depend on a constant network connection.

Aarti Sangrah stores all devotional content locally on your device using an embedded SQLite database. Once the content is synced, you can read it entirely offline without the internet.

The app only uses internet access to fetch new and updated devotional collections from our secure content source. Your favorites, preferences, recently read items, and app settings stay completely private on your device.

Most importantly, there are no ads, no third-party analytics, and no account registration in the app.

Daily Devotional Reminders

You can turn on optional devotional reminders from the Settings. These smart reminders are localized and completely in your control. The app supports daily reminder slots and day-aware nudges—for example, gently reminding you to read the Hanuman Chalisa on Tuesdays or Santoshi Mata Aarti on Fridays.

Notifications are never silently enabled. You always stay in control of your spiritual journey.

For our latest release, version 1.0.3, we focused on Google Play readiness and broad compatibility across modern Android devices.

This update brings robust support for Android tablets, foldables, landscape mode, and edge-to-edge UI behavior. Aarti Sangrah no longer forces portrait orientation, ensuring that the reading and list screens remain beautifully balanced on larger screens.

This matters because devotional reading isn't just for smartphones. Many families use tablets or shared household devices during aarti, pooja, or festival preparations.
